Liz and James, sorry, Nolesy, were married at Hylands Methodist Church followed by their reception at The Boatyard Restaurant just down the road in Old Leigh. I've now filmed at The Boatyard on a few occasions (including one of my favourite weddings David & Kelly) and it really does make a fantastic backdrop for a party on the beach! Liz & James' guests were certainly up for a party and I can't remember seeing as many people laughing (or high fiving..) at a wedding before.
As always it was a pleasure to work with Studio Rochford who really made the most of the surroundings and took the couple for an evening stroll in Old Leigh (where they received MANY congratulations from the summer crowd!) and great to again hear one of the best voices you're likely to encounter at a wedding, Joe Gibson.
I've filmed a the weddings of Liz & James' friends in the past and they never fail to disappoint in front of the camera. They are a really close group of friends who like nothing more than having a laugh but they clearly value their friendship enormously as the best men summed up at the end of their speech with their line, "Never above you, never below you, always with you."
